Iris Haugen, LPC, CADC II

I understand how difficult opening up can be, and I know that finding the right person to talk with is crucial. The growth I’ve had from sharing my struggles with a counselor is one of the reasons I chose to make counseling my life’s work, and I know that the best way to heal and grow is by receiving the help you need from a professional you can trust. I can help.

We’ll work together through conversation in a judgment-free environment where I’ll help you discover your inner-strength so that you can gain the emotional relief you need, find confidence through your doubt, and heal your relationships with family and friends.

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology: Family Studies from Corban University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Seminary.

You deserve to have someone in your corner to help you tackle life’s unique challenges. Many of my clients want things to be different and are willing to do different things! If you are 14 or older and experiencing depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, or autism spectrum disorder you are likely very familiar with just how challenging life can be.

I make it a priority to create an environment where you feel safe. I provide my clients with accommodations such as no overhead lighting, fidgets, and time to process between questions. I believe we can all thrive when we feel safe and supported.

I received my BA in Social and Behavioral Studies from George Fox University in 2018 and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University in 2023. Prior to this, I worked in human and social services providing support and advocacy to vulnerable persons.
